The raises will be given to 16 lieutenants, 32 firefighter/paramedics and one firefighter/emergency medical technician.Įstimates are that the raises will cost Union Township about $128,000 a year, but that number could change due to overtime, added positions, job vacancies and the like. The raises negotiated by the Union Township Professional Firefighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3412 are effective through Dec. The Union Township Board of Trustees has approved a contract with its firefighters awarding them a 3.5 percent increase in each of three years.
